Cycling Holidays at the Moselle River
The Moselle Cycle Route ("Mosel-Radweg") covers a distance of around 240 kilometers from Koblenz to Metz in France. Many sections along the Moselle river not only run parallel to the road, but also through vineyards, scrubland and inviting villages. There are numerous wineries that offer wine tastings and typical Moselle food in cozy wine bars and taverns.
Impressive viewpoints, castles and ruins, which are still used for musical events, offer the opportunity to use breaks in a particularly interesting way.
There is something to suit every cyclist's fitness level: mountain bikers can ride through the vineyards and forests, guided tours can be booked in advance! Smaller routes with plenty of opportunities to rest are available for walking tours.
As the Moselle villages and towns have already adapted well to cycling enthusiasts, they offer repair facilities and bike hire at service stations.
Bike-friendly accommodation, picnic and rest areas invite you to recharge your batteries and e-bikes.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced cyclist, the Moselle region in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, has something for everyone!
